A Positive Start...
Having one of our puppies join your family can be a fun, rewarding experience for the entire family. With that being said, we do want our potential customers be aware of normal puppy behaviors such as destructive chewing, nipping, jumping up, crying, barking, growling, or trouble with potty and crate training. Please know these unwanted behaviors can be easily addressed with proper training practices. Time, patience, persistence and positive reinforcement are the key to developing a well behaved family companion dog.
Preparing your home for the arrival of your new puppy is an extremely important step to being a responsible puppy owner. Here are a few things to consider to keep your puppy safe...Don't leave electrical cords exposed, block stairs, keep human food out of reach, purchase a pet proof trash can or keep trash out of reach, keep medications and anything toxic to dogs out of reach, keep poisonous plants out of reach, keep small objects, socks or smelly clothing off the floor and out of reach, puppy proof and escape proof your yard, keep a first aid kit on hand for any always keep keep your veterinarian's phone number programmed in your phone for any emergencies. We recommend you check out PUPPY STAGES page to understand puppy behaviors into adulthood.

Your puppy will receive it's first vaccine which Prevents Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (CAV-2 cross protection CAV-1), Parainfluenza and Parvovirus Vaccine (MLV).
(MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A VET APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED PRIOR TO YOUR PUPPY'S ARRIVAL. YOU WILL HAVE 3 DAYS AFTER YOUR PUPPY'S ARRIVAL TO HAVE HIM/HER EXAMINED BY YOUR VETERINARIAN AS REQUIRED BY THE PUPPY HEALTH CONTRACT).
Every pet owner should consider getting pet insurance. Even if you believe you have enough money to cover veterinary costs, pet insurance could still save you thousands of dollars if your pet gets sick or injured. Especially if you have multiple pets, your out-of-pocket costs could add up considerably without insurance. There are many excellent pet insurance companies out there to choose from but we highly recommend Trupanion medical insurance for your new furry family member. We are excited to be partnering with Trupanion and able to offer a 30 day free trial to all our new puppy owners!
