A rainbow of color
Phantom and Tri
PHANTOM describes a solid color dog with sharply defined cream, tan, or red markings called "POINTS" located on the brows, along the cheeks, down the legs, and under the tail.
NOTE: Our Phantom puppies always have a small amount of white spotting, seen mostly on the muzzle, neck, chest, toes, or tail. We call those a TRI PHANTOM.
TRADITIONAL TRI describes a coat Pattern that closely resembles the traditional markings of a Bernese Mountain Dog.
Parti or Bi-Color
Describes a dog's coat pattern that is 50% or more white with random spotting of a secondary color. Some of our puppies have the TUXEDO PARTI markings, which have a solid torso with white on the neck, chest, and legs, giving them the appearance of wearing a tuxedo.
Merle
The Merle pattern is not considered a color, but rather a coat pattern characterized by irregularly shaped patches of diluted pigment mixed with solid color. Merle dogs can have Phantom or Tri points and come in the Parti pattern. Some Merle puppies can have BLUE EYES.
Sable
Describes a dog's coat pattern that is 50% or more white with random spotting of a secondary color. Some of our puppies have the TUXEDO PARTI markings, which have a solid torso with white on the neck, chest, and legs, giving them the appearance of wearing a tuxedo.
