About the Australian Bernedoodle
The Australian Bernedoodle is a hybrid breed that combines the Bernese Mountain Dog, Poodle, and Australian Labradoodle. It is important to note that this breed does not include any Australian Shepherd and should not be confused with the Australian Mountain Doodle.
Australian Bernedoodles inherit the best qualities from both the Bernedoodle and the Australian Labradoodle, resulting in an intelligent and easily trainable dog. They have a gentle, playful, and affectionate demeanor. These dogs excel when given tasks and learn quickly. Their loyalty makes them protective of their families, and they can be somewhat reserved with strangers until they get acquainted. Generally, they are quiet and only bark to alert you to newcomers or during play. They are known for their soft, shaggy coats that are extremely low-shedding. Their stocky build and blocky heads give them an adorable "Teddy Bear" look that will have people asking, "What kind of dog is that?"
If you are not familiar with the Australian Bernedoodle, we highly recommend you visit the Australian Labradoodle Association of America or (ALAA).
